Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Ask questions, make sure we both know what you're going for so we can bring about the best results!
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I recorded, mixed, and edited a cover song by a local artist named Vienna Dohler! I recorded the drums, piano, and her vocals then I mixed the project giving it life and character!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on an EP project of my own!

A: Matthew Boda and I interned at JTL a couple of years ago!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I've worked with both and love both but for me, it comes down to knowing whatever equipment you have and how you use it!
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To have a clean and professional sounding mix!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love working with music, hearing someones idea an helping them bring it to life!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: They'll ask, what makes a song "radio ready" to which I say its how the the dynamics are controlled, letting each instrument breathe and blend together!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconceptions is assuming you need a certain piece of gear or software to make or break a record.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: I'll ask them which artists are their favorites, what are the references/influences in music.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Studio monitors, interface, computer, microphone, and my keyboard!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been studying music, mixing, composition, audio engineering, for five years! I've spent my time getting an education in audio engineering, taking courses, internships, one on one coaching sessions, and dedicating personal time reading and researching as much as possible!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style ranges from: - Dark club music similar to Tech N9ne - Gangsta/underground much like that of Eminem, - Cinematic sound inspired by NF
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd like to work with Tech N9ne, Eminem, or Dr. Dre because they all have a professional work flow method that gives their music an efficient and professional sound!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Compression and gain staging are crucial in controlling the dynamics of the song!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I do more work with Hiphop and Pop but have worked on rock, bluegrass, and country.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mixing is my strongest skill, understanding the dynamics of sound and instruments.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Clarity in the sound, I make sure it sounds clean and professional as if produced by a professional studio label!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start at the core of the track i.e. the drums, vocals, or whatever is carrying the song a build around that, making sure each instrument has its space letting the track to blend and balance well together!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have Logic Pro and Pro Tools, a pair of KRK V6 studio monitors, an Apollo Twin interface, Komplete Kontact keyboard, Focal - professional studio headphones, Blue large diaphragm microphone& an Akai MPD218 pad!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Strange Music has great club music with excellent bounce! Thomas James "Tommee" Profitt has an amazing dramatic and big production! Dr. Dre has an awesome gangsta/underground style that I love! They all have solid sounding records and amazing productions!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mix and master the artists song(s), getting them to a radio ready quality! I also create drum loops that bounce well and hit beautifully!
