Male pop and folk-pop vocals | Mixing Style: Pop, Alt Pop, Folk-Pop to RnB
Male vocals: High Baritone (Low F to High Bb). I’ve been singing professionally for 11 years. In the early days it was musical theatre, then I starred in a ‘High School Musical’ esq. show in Europe. I now spend much more time in the studio, whether working on my own material or vocals/ BVs for somebody else’s. Rate includes a 1 full vocal comp, pre-treated with gentle EQ, Compression and DeEssing ready for mixing. 2 revisions included. Additional revisions $30e.
Professional mixing: I specialise in Pop, Folk Pop, Alt Pop and RnB, though I have mixed HipHop, Trap, and even Trad Folk. You’ll find me agreeable and efficient, though also a perfectionist with every project. Rate includes 1 full mix in uncompressed format, ready for mastering. Editing, Comping and Production are not included. I will master most tracks for an additional $50 should you wish. 2 revisions included. Additional revisions $30e.
If you need me to write: I write both lyrics and melodies for vocals (or whichever you need). Over 14 years I’ve developed the craft and never leave a song unfinished. My writing can vary from poetic to very modern and more science based. My writing genre is pop, alt-pop and folk-pop with a little soul for good measure. Think somewhere between Ed Sheeran, Bon Iver and Jamie Cullum. 2 revisions included. Additional revisions $30e.

Interview with Tim Luxter
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Vocals are almost always recorded on an MXL V67i on the bright diaphragm for a ribbon-style warmth. Some styles work very well with the trusty SM57. I have done everything from parallel processing at the recording level to re-amping vocals with the gain through the roof. Love a clean vocal but love discovering new sounds as well
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Get it right at the beginning and the rest will fall in to place. Write it right and record it right.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Session recording, mixing and mastering
