"Hi, my name is Morgane (Aka Jack Lena). I'm young vocalist from Paris ! I love working on dreamy songs and Harmonies. Feel free to contact me !"
You want to know more about my musical journey ?
At 15, I started singing and playing the guitar inspired by folk, jazz and Electronic music. I took Classical singing lessons for 2 years, and ended up taking general music lessons.
In 2015, I was featured with a friend (In the band Von Barron) to record an EP named "La spirale du Silence". I discovered music production and studio recording. Since this collaboration and multiple experiences in different bands, I really wanted to learn more about music and share my universe, something about dreams and everything that is in my mind. I started doing collaborations in 2019 and I'm looking forward to publish my EP Random Memories in September 2020.

I had a great experience working with Morgane. I highly recommend making records with her. She's a talented musician who communicates well and takes care of business. Looking forward to the next project! Thank you
Absolutely phenomenal. Morgane (Jack) is truly an artist. She has an incredible voice, very in tune, lots of controlled emotion/passion, and is just all around an amazing singer. She provided exactly what I was looking for and more! Very punctual, very easy to communicate with. 7 out of your 5 stars. Would I work with Morgane again? why YES i would!!
Interview with Morgane
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One year ago I had the big chance and honor to work with uppermost. I'm proud because this song has a beautiful instrumental, and being able to work on it was a pure happiness.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am working on a trance music for a collaboration and on a new Ep for my new band.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love having the chance to talk with inspiring people, and being able to work on different styles of music. I always feel blessed when someone choose to work with me because I know what a song can represent to someone.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I would take my banjo, a lighter, some marshmallows and a sweet duvet.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Before doing music, I was a geography student in Paris. I decided to stop during 4 years to be able to do some music because I really wanted to learn more about it.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My personal project, Jack Lena, is a folk-folktronica project. I'm inspired by humans, nature, tales and my family. I sing in English, but also in -Breton- (only for one song) and recently I started writing in French.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Cascadeur and Aurora.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: When I record a chorus, usually I record 3 times the same Vocal, one goes to the center, and the two other ones in stereo. The result is powerful and breathy I would say but in a good way aha. I've learned this tip years I ago and I've never got rid of it.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Usually I work on folk music and Down tempo music (Synthwave, trip-hop, electro).
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Harmonies and Choirs.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: In general, I love bringing a particular emotion to a song, I love it when the vocals are tender and dreamy. But I can also provide strong vocals. I love It when there is a certain space, with variations of singing and harmonies.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My focus is on the melody, first I sing on top of the demo in "yogurt" I would say. I'm trying to find melodies that I like and then I send it to the customer, I also love finding some choirs and Ad libs to have general idea of the song and what I can provide (My inspiration…). When it is okay, I focus on the lyrics. Before writing, it is important for me to exchange about the topic with the customers, if the customer has an idea and If not I propose some topics, inspirations, stories…
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm deeply inspired by Jeff Buckley and his interpretation. Dream Brother is my favorite song. I feel like there is a pure authenticity. Also He had an impressive voice, full of possibilities and inspires me every day. I'm inspired bu Sufjan Stevens the same way. I'm inspired by Mark Foster's songwriting skills (foster the people). I was a huge fan when I was younger. I'm also deeply inspired by Aretha Franklin.
