Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To provide you with outstanding service and a final product that you can be proud of. I commit to you that I will treat your art with love and dedication as if it were my own.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Make sure that they understand your vision. Expect nothing less than exceptional work.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: An acoustic guitar, a battery powered keyboard, batteries, my laptop, and my portable charger. That way I could run a songwriting session while I'm waiting to be rescued!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been making music for almost 13 years now. It started as a love for playing instruments and playing in bands. Over time it grew into a love for production and songwriting, which led me to pursue a professional career in music. The rest is history!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: John Lennon and Paul McCartney are my biggest heroes in music, while Max Martin and Rick Rubin inspire me to be the best music producer that I can be.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both...because both of them have good qualities and bad qualities, but both of them have also been used to make amazing music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: A strong sense of music theory and composition combined with being a skilled guitarist, bassist, pianist, and drummer makes me a highly versatile music producer.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start in the morning with a cup of coffee and a piano. Then I move to the computer and begin to piece together the idea of the day using Logic Pro X and a room full of instruments. Things progress from there...
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most of the work that I do for clients involves music production or songwriting. I love to conceptualize and compose music for artists who are looking for songs that capture their artistic spirit. I work alongside the client, learning about their strengths and finding ways to emphasize them with my music.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Starting my own business. I visualized the concept and built it from the ground up. Perhaps one day CH Music Productions and SoundBetter will be partners!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it’s not a “real job.”
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision? How can I help you achieve your creative goal? Do you like The Beatles?
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Relaxed but efficient. I’m comfortable and I get things done.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Post Malone. We have similar songwriting styles so I’m sure that dude and I could write a killer song together.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Learn the basics of EQ and Compression, and learn them well! They will be very useful throughout your journey producing good quality music.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I typically work on pop and hip-hop music. I love experimenting with sub-forms of pop such as indie pop, soft pop and dance pop.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Emotion, intelligence, and honesty.

A: Being able to make something for someone that makes them happy and excited to pursue their dreams.
