Hi! My name is Mart Laurano, I'm a mix engineer and owner of Laurano Mixing, my personal mixing and mastering studio.

Since 2016, I've worked with bands from all over the world, like Surviving September, Unknown Code of Existence, Daileon Kick, Rhoad, Tubarão Bomber, Remotto and many others.

Working mainly In The Box, I use only top notch plugins and equipments from brands like Focusrite, Warm Audio, Plugin Alliance, Slate Digital, Avid and Waves.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Just to know exactly where you're going to with the song.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Modern. Transient heavy drums, fat/grit bass and in your face guitars and vocals.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Rock and Heavy Music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Work in a very passionate, friendly and professional way in any project.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Shine, size and depth.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Chris Lord-Alge, Andrew Wade, Tue Madsen, Tom Lord-Alge, Mark Lewis, Michael Brauer, Tony Maserati
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Hybrid. Analog sounds awesome and digital makes everything easier. So why not use both?
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will work on the song until the client is happy.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: First of all, I hear the tracks and do an overall volume and pan balance. I add drum samples and re amp D.I. tracks if needed. After this, I'll start doing tweeks on individual tracks until I get the sound I'm looking for the mix. To finish it, I will add reverbs, delays and other FX and do some automation movements if needed.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Typically I am hired for mixing.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Pra Ver Se O Coração Aguenta by Tetrafonica. We used no drum samples, no amp sims, every single element on the song was real. In this project, I was the record and mix engineer and I also edited it

A: Always prioritize the song
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Today, my setup is focused on mixing ITB. But I'm working on building a hybrid mixing setup.
