Rasmus Gregersen on SoundBetter

Modern sounding & radio friendly mix and masters delivered with personal service

I offer 11 years of experience working with music-production, mix and mastering to deliver crystal clear, deep, full and warm-sounding tracks that will compete with anything you hear on the charts.

I specialize in Pop music and my strategy is prioritizing the main elements of your song to make them stand out.
Whether it is getting the vocal right up front and present in the mix. Or it is getting the kick and bass to sit perfectly together and provide energy in the lowend it all depends on the song.

My passion is to make high quality mixes and masters that can satisfy any customer & consumer as well as make your song translate onto multiple audio systems (Car, club, home listening, iPhone) and platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, TV or Radio)

Let me know if you have any deadline for your single or album and I will let you know how quickly I can deliver.

I have 11 years of experience working with music on a day to day basis.

Interview with Rasmus Gregersen

  1. Q: What's your typical work process?

  2. A: My mixing workflow usually starts by examining the material and listening to the song and try to make list of the most important elements of the song. I prioritize mixing the key elements of the song to begin with and usually start by getting the mix right on the most important arrangemental part of the song (the drop, the final chorus etc.) Once the basic elements and the mix is at a good place i start going into details with sound design. I end up looking at the entire mix as a whole and zooming out to get an objective overview of the mix, while making last changes, and listening on multiple systems.

  3. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  4. A: My studio is centered around my laptop, a pair of Dynaudio monitors and my room which is acoustically treated for doing mixing and mastering.

  5. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  6. A: Manny Marroquin, Tony Maserati, Serban Ghenea, Max Martin, Pharrell...

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Sidechaining your delays and reverbs to the sound you are working on to clear up a lot of space in the mix. The sound will cut through the mix a lot easier while still maintainging its space. You can extend this technique even further by only sidechaining the mono part of the delay or reverb.

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: I usually work within pop music.

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: My strongest skill is working with drums and percussion and getting them sounding full and punchy.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: The most common type of work I do is mixing and mastering.
