Signed with Warner, toured with Manson, made a record with LA's finest producers and engineers. Went to Heaven and Hell along the way. Now content to work in my own studio space, with remarkable artists and their material. I won't take on a job if I can't add something constructive.
I officially began my career in the music industry at the age of 16, when I produced my first solo EP. Prior to that, I made 4-track recordings at home and played in high school bands. The EP provided my first radio exposure, and I gradually made all the right contacts locally. When I was around 18, I signed a management contract which lead to a record and publishing deal. Most importantly, I wrote prolifically and produced dozens of mini albums on 4-track cassette. These demos became my debut LP, released through Warner. While recording the album, I lived in LA with Joel Edgerton and Ben Mendelsohn, who were both aiming to crack the US market with their acting careers. I recorded with Joe Chiccarelli and Chris Vrenna co-producing, but an intervention by Warner resulted in a reversion to the demos I had produced at home and a studio 'remix' by Tony Espie back in Australia. The record company felt the original demos had more character, but I liked the LA versions equally and issued a re-release of the album featuring some of those mixes a few years back. In 2010, I produced a record for a band called Dancing Heals, which did very well on college radio in the US. Now, the majority of my time is spent composing and producing music for visual media. I have worked with H&M, Kate Spade, Apple and more on various campaigns. I am seeking work as a producer of music that will last.
