Richard Beet on SoundBetter

multidisciplinary creative services: mixing, editing, production and sound design

Richard Beet, often using the moniker MA NI TU, trained as a musician and sound engineer. In Leeds, Richard performed and recorded with bands including local Leeds outfits Blue Laurel and Menagerie. During his time in Yorkshire he found himself involved in all kind of projects – from producing a live session recording in Leeds Art Gallery to soundtracking a skate video. After he graduated however, he spent some years outside of making any art entirely until a couple of years ago when I moved to London and decided to enrol at Goldsmiths to re-skill and refresh my sound engineering experience.

Although, as well as overseeing recording sessions at Goldsmiths Music Studios and recording and mixing my own material, I've begun to practice sound-making in a variety of ways, incorporating written word, performed narrative and video; music and sound is now not quite is own exclusive medium to me, but is rather a junction to multiple creative possibilities.

I offer remote project services such as mixing, production and sound design. Whether you need sound for an audiovisual project or film, or if you need a track mixed to a professional standard, I specialise in collaborating with a diverse network of creatives to be able to deliver high quality work.
