I can produce your tracks to be radio ready, taking it from a demo to a unique publishable finished product. Going on 7 years of being dedicated to the art of mixing and producing, I guarantee my result to sound major label. I'm also capable of re-tracking parts for guitars, bass, and drums in my own studio if needed. I will work on the track until I feel there's no more room for improvement.
I specialize in pop rock, alternative rock, indie and hip hop.
My mixing style is inspired by The 1975, Twenty One Pilots, The Band Camino, Valley.

Joshua Davenport, is amazing at what he does and great work with. I honestly can say as important as it is to have an engineer/editor/producer/mixer/masterer that knows what they’re doing. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Hard to answer this, I'm quite honestly proud of a lot of things I've done as a mixing engineer and producer.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Trying to finish my own album at the moment, experimenting with drum sounds and guitar tones.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes, Alex Maglione. Great guy and great mixing engineer, I worked with him awhile back and was very pleasant experience.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: analog, I feel more aware of what I'm doing if I physically have to adjust compressors and or eq's
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Absolute satisfaction, I will revise until you are happy at no charge.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to listen to music all day, and play with toys.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Ive been asked if I can get it done sooner quite often, sometimes it takes me longer to complete a mix, I'm a perfectionist and I won't give you something I feel isn't 100%.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That its easy.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Are you confident the song is ready to be mixed, really the only question I think needs answered.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't hire a mixing engineer based on what gear he's using or who they say they've worked with. listen to work they've done and then decide.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My Mac, a Stratocaster, a pair of headphones, a midi controller and any interface. I can make an entire record with that.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started out painting houses for a living and decided to follow my passion and now I'm here doing music, 7 years and still loving it!

A: Glitter and wine coolers
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: The Band Camino, they sound killer that's why, and they're awesome guys.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Focus on the song and not the fancy gear, some of the biggest hits right now were made on a laptop in a hotel room or bus, You don't need 100,000$ worth of stuff to make a hit.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop-rock/Alt-rock
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Definitely taking a track and giving it personality, I have tons of cool tricks.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Identity.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Organize, separate instruments sonically, add fancy FX's and level.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm running latest protools, using HS8's as mains and avantones as secondary monitors, have too many plugins to choose from. running analogue 1776's and Pultes with some other cool tape and analogue toys for real flavor, I tend to work out of the box as much as I can, I feel more connected to the music that way.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The 1975 BIG TIME.
