  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I worked on a gospel song called Will you. I was the artist, mix and master engineer and I also produced the beat. The song has been on facebook for about 5 weeks. I have accumulated 18K views on facebook from the song.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: No

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Digital because I don't have space for outboard analog gear.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: I promise all my clients that I will leave them satisfied with all of the work we do together.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: What I like most about this job is being apart of artist projects. Some artist are outstanding and bring great music to the table. Working on great music with good vibes all around is the most relaxing feel ever to me.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: A question I am asked a lot is ,can you make me sound like? My answer is I can't make you sound like that individual but I can give you that vibe and a finished product that you'll be happy with.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: The biggest misconception about what I do is, individuals believe that in order for a song to be mixed it has to has tons of effects and the artist is suppose to sound like something else instead of them-self. Most music don't need a lot of effects to sound amazing. Most music on need a few touches here and there.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: What are you looking for in a mix? As an artist what would you rate yourself?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Look for someone who is efficient in the genre of music of your choice.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: The 5 pieces of gear I would take would be my laptop, interface, mic, midi keyboard and headphones.

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: My career path was to own a recording label. I've been a recording label owner for 2 years so far.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: I don't think that I have a style, I build a finished product off of what the song or project is offering.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: I would like to work with Ed sheeran. He has a great voice, he writes powerful lyrics and he plays the guitar well.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: A music production tip I can give is don't do what looks right, do what sounds right and answer the question why does it sound right.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: The Type of music I usually work on is Rap, Gospel, Trap, R&B.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: My strongest skill is tuning vocals. I myself am a singer and sounding as perfect as possible is very important to me.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I bring energy, warmth, and color to a song.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: My work process is 1. Editing vocal tracks " getting rid of noise, timing, and tuning. 2. I begin balancing the tracks to get a feel for how the vocals or instrumentation should be placed in the mix. 3. I start processing the tracks, "eq and compression. 4. I start to add time based effects if it calls for it. 5. I start bus mixing. 6. Master the song.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: Musicians and Producers that inspire me are, Kirk Franklin, Devin Dawson, Pharrell, Timberland,Warren Heuart, and Dave Pensado.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: The most common work I do for my clients is mixing vocals to instrument tracks or mixing vocals to an mp3 track. I also offer vocal tuning by using Melodyne or Auto tune.

  43. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  44. A: At the moment I am working on a trap song called Tommy Gun with an artist that goes by Big AB.

Terms Of Service

I allow 2 revisions on a single mix. Turn around will be a two day turn around. If you need a mix within a day it will be a $40 additional cost.
