Roki Z is a composer, producer, designer and performer of music.
Roki Z was educated in Shanghai Conservatory of Music (China) and New York University (USA). He holds Bachelor’s degree in music composition & production, and Master’s degrees in both Electronic Music Design and Scoring for Film & Multimedia. His works have been collected into the Macao History Museum and Shanghai EXPO 2010 exhibition hall. Several pieces of his were selected into music textbooks such as The Real Popular and Jazz Harmony and The Piano Music Adapted From the Film Music. He has written and produced plenty of music for films, TV dramas, and advertisements including The Land with No Boundary, China’s Got Talent 2011 and Voice of China 2013. As a performer, Li played electric bass in a funk-jazz band “ALLinONE” from 2010 to 2012 and released an album Stitched up. He also played piano in a pop-jazz band “Fuzzy Signal” from 2011 to 2012, and guitar in a rock-metal band “V.A.L.A.” from 2012 to 2013 and released the album Klesas. Li currently works in an nonprofit organization “COCA Art New York” as music director.
