I have worked with Justine on many projects and she is a complete bad ass, what a talent this girl! Quick turn around, detailed oriented, she puts a lot of care into her work and she is fun as hell.

I met, Justine, through multiplatinum engineer, mixer & producer, Ken Lewis, a few years back. We've been working ever since. Her vocals and writing chops are awesome and her turnaround time is never an issue. She's efficient & highly skilled at her craft. I'm humbled to know & to be able to work with her.

We worked together on the Katy album, Justine was amazing to work with, total Pro and a great vocal producer.

My music company has teamed up with Justine, and I have worked with her many times. She is a pleasure to work with. She understands the ins and outs of production process, quite thoroughly. Her vocals are gorgeous. As a writer, she is easy to work with. If adaptions and variations are necessary, she is capable of changing it on the fly. Justine is commited and focused. You will receive pro quality content on time, adding a lot of value to your track.

Justine is such a pleasure to work with. Fits into any scenario and delivers with amazing talent and input, from writing, vocals, and even engineering skills. 👍 Check out her services and know that if you choose to work with Justine, she's got the credentials to come along with it. 100🌟's from me.
Interview with JUSTINE aka TINAMINA Sync/Kpop
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: ThisIsTorch is my favorite producer.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, Jojo, Demi Lovato, the late Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, Pink, Joss Stone, Kelly Clarkson, Ella Eyre, Anne Marie, Halsey, Jess Reyez, Sza, Yebba, BlackPink, Jessi, Yoon Mirae...Too many to name...Amazing vocalists, girl groups, and rappers...
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Songwriting wise - melodies and hooks I would say are my strong skills and what come most naturally to me. Singing wise - attitude/sassy vocals and breathy singing. Production wise - I can produce vocals and demos to a level that is needed for the competitive music industry environment that currently exists.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Building out my sync company with my business partner as well as setting up other opportunities for others
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Do you do Kpop? Yes, of course! I also do pop, r&b, and hip hop.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What would you like to accomplish with me? Do you have any specific song examples and what elements do you like about it? What are your expectations and what is your deadline?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Laptop, super long range wifi extender, blue bottle microphone, Apollo, vintage Neve 1073 pre
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Got signed to Sony in 2011.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Sassy / Fun is my personal go to, but I prefer to do whatever emotion the song actually calls for.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I try to provide support in whatever role I am needed. If writing, I listen to a track to try to catch a vibe and write to that emotion. If the client wants a certain message or musical elements, I really try to incorporate what the client is going for. Whether writing, vocal producing or cutting demos, it is about working with the client while still being creative.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I only do K-pop because I am of Korean descent~
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I mostly bring a catchy pop sensibility with urban leanings.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love great vocalists. I really appreciate vocals that capture an emotion as well as demonstrate vocal control. Saaaangers inspire me. Great songs that I wish I wrote inspire me <3
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Proud of having worked on 'Good Boy' because it was my first placement and it was #1 on all Korean download sites as soon as it came out and it hit #4 on the kpop Billboard charts that week. I worked on the song idea initially with my friend AJ in his basement studio and it was very cool to see it come to life and impact people on the other side of the planet. Seriously amazing xD
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Being creative is so much fun :)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Sometimes less is more when it comes to arrangements, but not always~ Go with what sounds good!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, R&B, Hiphop, Kpop and Electronic
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a professional home setup as well several professional studios I have access to.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I generally do topline, vocal produce, and record demo vocals. I can engineer and mix my own vocal sessions as well as engineer for others.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital...So much easier to distribute globally and instantly...Analog really does have it's signature warm quality sonically though...Now if only we could capture that digitally......
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Do my best to deliver what you are looking for from me
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Communicating what you would like as clearly as possible with as many reference examples as you need to make sure we are on the same page helps so much to ensure you are happy with the outcome
