Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Doing it allows me to be a stay at home mom & still help support my family.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Customers usually ask what all i need from them to provide vocals for a song they wrote & i tell them: All you need to do is send me the lyrics, the instrument, & an audio reference of what you want it to sound like and I will record the vocals and get them over to you as soon as possible.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I would recommend BoiyayeProductions (Phil) to all of my clients, because he is an AMAZING audio engineer! He is extremely professional, his prices are reasonable, but not at the sacrifice of quality. He does an job & i have yet to find anyone who's ain't mixes sound even half as good as his. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: My promise is that i will make sure that you are satisfied with the final product you receive. You will never leave filling like you didn't get what you wanted.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been singing my own material since 2007, but i just started providing vocals for other artists & writers in 2012.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style is mainly R&B/Soul.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Lauren Hill or Taylor Swift because they are both amazing singer-songwriter-musicians.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I honestly get clients recording me to record all types of genres of music from gospel to rock, but i love R&B the most.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: For Straight Vocals: - I take a couple of days to just learn the words, because i feel that if I have to constantly focus on getting the words right it doesn't really allow me to connect vocal-wise. - When i record i usually do cycle recording, where i do 3 separate takes of each section of the song back to back & merge together the best sounding pieces to form a single track. - When I'm done I send an mp3 of the vocals & Instrumental together to the client to get feedback on if everything is to their liking or if something needs to be redone. - Once we've agreed everything is sounding good, i send the the tracked out files either through Dropbox or WeTransfer.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I record at Boiyaye Productions in Kansas City , MO, which uses the following: - 27" Imac - Logic Pro X / Pro Tools 10 - Miktek CV4 Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone - Universal Audio Apollo Interface - Manley Core Refrence Channel Strip

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: The most common type of work i do for my clients is providing pre-written vocals. Many of those clients however, ask for assistance with creating the melody.
