I am currently a professional background vocalist for Lennon Stella and several other artists.
I offer sessions that consist of background vocals, lead vocal demos, and vocal and/or lyrical arrangements. I also have several musicians who are available for work for hire if specific instruments are needed.

Interview with Lauren McClinton
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do mostly BGV (background vocal) work and lead vocal work. I also arrange vocals and/or production if needed.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: A lot of local artists and musicians I come across in different cities inspire me because their sound is usually very fresh and new. I’m also inspired by John Mayer, India Arie, Jazmine Sullivan, and many more.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use a setup which consists of a audio technica AT2050 mic, computer, Ableton program, (I can use other programs if requested) a keyboard, several guitars, etc. It has everything I need to make a song sound clean and professional.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My process is pretty simple. I ask the client specific questions to make sure everything is understood before I go into the studio. I then like to lay down a rough vocal or instrumental track (whatever is requested). Afterward, I send the rough to the client to make sure he or she is satisfied with the track. From there, we either keep what's been done or make necessary adjustments until we reach an agreement on the final product!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I'm a perfectionist so whatever the client needs, I get done and make sure it's as clean and professional as possible.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skills are vocal arrangement and lyricism.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I work mostly on Pop, Gospel and R&B.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been doing music professionally for about 6 years. I started off as an artist, performing and writing any opportunity I could. I then started pursuing background vocalist gigs which led me to opportunities with artists like Lennon Stella, Tori Kelly, Chris Stappleton and many more.
