I’m a versatile session vocalist specialized in Pop, Rock, Latin and Soul.

I can provide solutions on Vocal recordings either in english or spanish. My studio is equipped with top of the line equipment and fully acoustically treated.

I have very wide vocal range (listen to my samples) using chest, mix and head voice but that's not all; I'll put my soul in every recording because I really love this.

I can be very flexible on how I make my voice sound but it's all about communication. I like to listen to my customers and try to understand as much as possible what they're looking for.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.

Nacho wanted some extra ideas for a song that was already complete. He gave me a track, a topline, pre-existing lyrics, and concepts for new ideas. He pays attention even to the most minute details, so he was very easy to work with. I'd gladly work with Nacho again.

Interview with Nacho Martin

What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A very soulful lead vocal..
What do you like most about your job?
Usually the opportunity to use a lot of resource that I don't usually use in my own compositions. Moving from style to style is really comforting for me.
What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
When can you have it? My answer depends on the request but I always provide an accurate ETA. I won't promise deliveries if I can't accomplish them, but I'll alway accomplish the already agreed ones.
What questions do you ask prospective clients?
What is this recording for? What are you trying to achieve? Do you have any references? Any specific technical clarification you would like to make?
What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
I have been doing this for 4 years now but I started my studies about 14 years ago.
What's your strongest skill?
Being very flexible on the colors and sounds I can produce with my instrument and also an incredible big vocal range.
What do you bring to a song?
I try to bring much more than just intonation. It's all about emotion and what you can communicate with sounds. That's what makes a great Lead vocal.
Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
Cordyceps is my biggest project and, together with my team, we are releasing our new album "Nouvelle". Also, the album will be avaliable on itunes, spotify, deezer, apple music, google music, amazon and Cd baby on October 15th, 2015.
What are you working on at the moment?
I'm always working on covers and original song lead vocals but also, at the moment, I'm releasing my band's album and that's very huge.
Analog or digital and why?
Both! Analog is good......but is has to very GOOD analog. Digital is awesome as you an always can have more control over it.......but wait, there's also good and bad. It's all about picking what's the best audio chain for your needs and of course, on your budget.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
It's very important to be clear with the goal and style of what's being search. It's all about communication and if you can let the provider know exactly what you want, you'll probably be getting better results.
How would you describe your style?
Can you share one music production tip?
It doesn't matter how much you spend on you gear if you don't properly treat the acoustics in your room. That's the difference between sounding good and sounding incredible.
What type of music do you usually work on?
Pop, Rock, Soul, Jazz, R&B, Blues, Dance.
What's your typical work process?
If it is a cover I usually listen to the original song first. If the client requires a version, I try to let the creativity fly understanding the customer specifications. If the cover needs to be exactly as the original, I usually mimic every phrase and voice color the best I can. Ideally, if well mixed, people should't be able to tell the difference between the original and the cover. It's not always simple with all the artists, but it can be done.
Tell us about your studio setup.
It's a top of the line, sound proof and acoustic treated home studio. I work mostly with protools on a Mac book pro, RME audio interface and AKG 414 condenser microphone. Review's are made on Adam A7x studio monitors and AKG 712 pro headphones.
Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
Cover or original lead vocal recordings.
