Tyler! on SoundBetter

I play my guitar for keeps, write from experience, & I cant wait to work with you on your next Project! I like to Jam with my Fender Baritone Strat; Playing on a Baritone makes you think about the Guitar different. I've spent a lot of time finding my Style working on my "Vindicator" Album;

I love getting wrapped up in Re-Amping Guitar and Bass signals out during the writing process. It really helps with getting an Authentic Sounding Performance by having everything loud, coming out of Individual Amps instead of all being Squashed into the Monitors. I work best in the Rock & Metal Genres, writing Guitars & Bass. I love to dig deep into how the Bass and Guitar each Live inside the Groove of the Tune. On the Lyrical side, I prefer to write with a Thought provoking approach. I like telling Stories with words imbedded in a Great Groove. I would love to help you tell your Story !

I just love to Jam! A couple years ago I was just another Bedroom Musician, but working with People on SoundBetter really helped me learn how to Put all the loose ends together! I am still a long ways from a lot of my Goals as a Writer and a Guitar player. But I don't think I'm going to really push my limits working on my own Music; Working with yourself gets predicable!

That's why i Can't wait to Work with on Your Project and help with your Musical Adventures!

Interview with Tyler!

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Easily my Vindicator EP, the Experience was real. I'm so grateful for all of the Professional help i got. It taught me how to Capitalize on my Craft. I'm most proud of managing the Financials of that whole endeavor, compared to the guitar work, and the writing and Vocals, the Financials took alot more mental and physical discipline

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently working on My Full length Album, i just finished My Vindicator EP, Though i think im going to shelf it and use the material for the Full length now that i've replaced myself on Vocals!

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Yes! I've been working with a Great Drummer off of SoundBetter!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital, But nothing beats a real mic on a real amp.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: To provide Quality Writing and Audio

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: The opportunity!!

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: It always just depends on that particular Client. Some people want to know the specs on my Gear, what cables, and stings, tedious stuff really. But i understand, it is alot of money for someone who doesn't know what they're getting. You want to make sure you're hiring the right person. But in my experience, its best to find the right person before you even inquire. As an Artist you have to make the Choice on who your are going to Bring onto your project. Sometimes you make the wrong choice, pick the wrong provider. You have to remember, those things happen. If you spend enough time looking into your picks, you'll find the right person. Ideally, you want to hire someone you need to just send an MP3 to and then in a week or so, you have your results, that easy!

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That if you can play one Epic Guitar Solo, you can play anything. Alot of people think speed = skill, but thats wrong, speed is a skill, but theres alot more to it than that.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What do you see in your mind listening to your Tune. As a songwriter, I tend to see a lot when i listen back to own writing. It helps to know what you guys See

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Do it. I wouldn't be a SoundBetter Provider if i hadn't first been a Repeat Client! You learn so much from having Professional help!

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Strat, P Bass, Mustang GT100, Handheld multi track Recorder, A Couch

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: My first Memory was holding a guitar on the Couch, watching my Dad play the Same Fender Strat i Play today. So you could say my career path has been pretty much life long.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: More into the Grooves and Riffage than Shred Centered Guitar. I like making simple but Impactful writing, a simple Bass line, with a simple Guitar Rythmn, & a simple guitar Lead, often creates more powerful vibes and feelings. Getting the 3 to work off of each other rather than together helps.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I'd really love to work with Dave Murray (Iron Maiden Guitarist). As a songwriter i often out write my own abilities (Creatively & Technically), it would be a cool experience to bring on a Veteran.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: This might seem Obvious, But Hire the right People! There is nothing that will waste your time more than trying to "Do it all yourself".

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Rock & Roll! So many Genres under that Name! But i definitely explore out into the EDM world to!

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Dedication

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Flare, but you can only get so many points for style! I bring an authentic approach to your Vision while finding that Missing Piece!

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I learned from an Old Carpenter to Measure twice, Cut once! I listen more than I play, thats why the Remote Session gig works for me, in an Industry Studio there isn't as much time to listen. I like to learn the material, and then listen back to everything for a good day or two, over & over again. Sure it drives you mad; and you cant sleep at night with out hearing the tune in the back of your mind softly playing over and over again, but isn't that the point? You have to let the Art live inside you during the recording process.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I just use a Direct Box into my IMac, I don't like using plug-ins, but i appreciate the Engineers that do use the plug-in Tones. As for Guitars, i play my Fender Custom Baritone Stratocaster, to much work went into it to give specifics here. I play a Fender P Bass for my Bass Work, It is Viable for all types of Groovin' !

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: A good example of a Musical inspiration for me personally would be Jon Bon Jovi; The guy is genuine, and Dedicated to his Craft.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Writing and Arranging Guitars, turing your ideas into your masterpiece!
