music needs to be respected, sometimes people don't need just an engineer with just tech, but an engineer who understands an artist point of view without being overbearing. I'm patient as not all artists communicate verbally as well as others, if you have an idea and think its silly... tell me because sometimes its those ideas that are best. ;-)

love music, worked as head technician in many venues, alongside dj's like Martin Garrixx to groups like the Temptations. i have been a professional engineer for over 20 years and a studio mix engineer for at least 12years, my mix ethos is organic and respectful to the artists work. and attention to detail not matter how small. nothing complicated. i have worked with House of Vans london / SW4 festival / EDC festival / Glastonbury as head stage tech, i have mixed for Skepta as tour tech (uk), Scot Garcia as mastering engineer for Kronik records, i have releases on many Drum and bass labels and i mix all forms of music as i study even to this day on new and traditional ways of mixing and thoughts behind mixing. this in turn makes my decisions on mixing quicker than most.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: less is more, -6 is your best friend in mixing lol There are none as deaf as those who don't want to hear
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: none are better they are just different flavours to the menu
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: truth.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I like to see when clients smile and say "I never thought it could sound like that", it makes me feel like all the stress when i was starting out as a kid was worth it.

A: what does the tape machine do that the plug in doesn't?? my answer.... magic.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: take time look around. i'm still here.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Roland 201 delay, Yamaha Aw4416 desk, Z5600 SE microphone, and a MASSIVE Altec Lansing horn, this would enable me send a signal for miles on a extremely slow repeating delay so i wont be out of breath shouting. :-)
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Organic as music isn't made with numbers.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: A slightly obscure reggae band call The Mighty Maytones, the the work ethic they had stood the test of time and can still be used as a reference for many to this day, Can . Photek.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: all electronic music, also folk and bands.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: me.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: i run a hybrid set up, the centre of it being a BBC modified Studer a810 reel to reel machine, i am fluent in cubase, studio one and logic, there are also a few analogue synths to pepper stuff up, a Thermionic Culture mic pre, SE Z5600 with modified power supply, monitoring is done through yamaha ns10/ns40 and rearfields are Tannoy Red.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: anyone who thinks out of the box and are not afraid to push boundaries be it musically or technically.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: mostly mix and and additional production to tighten things up. also mastering.
