MyDem on SoundBetter

Professional singer/songwriter offers vocals in many styles : pop, rock, blues, soul, experimental. I am very strong in creating melodies and hooks, I write lyrics and I have a wide vocal range. I am also a modern singing teacher, so I can drive my voice into very open spaces and characters. Passionate about creating vocal lines and moods,

I usually record in my own home studio.
I would send you dry or mixed recordings in high quality, we can talk more in detail about it!
I have recorded 5 albums in my career, worked with famous producers and appeared in many international projects.
I have worked as a professional singer for more than 20 years and I toured Europe, SouthAmerica and many other countries with my band.
I shared the stage with many big acts of the world metal/rock scene and played in important Festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Summerbreeze, Graspop, MFVF, 70000 Tons Of Metal, Hell &Heaven in Mexico..ecc...
I collaborated with known bands of the metal scene.

I offer:
*Full Vocal melody (Top Line)
*Vocals
*Vocal Harmonies
*Backing Vocals
*Melody
*Lyrics

I love to make a track sound good and I usually keep on working on its production until it sounds perfect to my ears.
I am totally natural in creating melodies and harmonies.

I offer this service not as a guest singer, in fact I do not want my name to be on your record unless we make a different deal (I usually charge lot more with my credit on a track), due to professional reasons.
I will make sure you will be extremely positive about the result anyway!

Feel free to contact me by email, and we can discuss more details. I am sure I can contribute positively to your project in the way you wish!

  14. A: Can you sing on male key? YES:) (depending on what artist of course) Can you sing higher ? Yes (depending on the note of course)

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That I only sing for metal bands!

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What would you like me to do on you song?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: If you like vocals with a strong mark and open to many possibilities, here I am. If you like lyrics where images are strong and easy to rhythm up, here I am!

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Guitar, a notebook and a voice recorder.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I am a professional singer since more than 20 years, I have had chances to work with very high level professionals, both on stage and in studio. I totally own my voice and my skills. I started with experimental theatre when I was a kid, that is where I got convinced I was meant to sing, then I join blues, rock and metal bands till I joined a Norwegian known band in 2007. Since then I started touring, being very into the music business and learned about everything else.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Deep, emotional, powerful, experimental, genuine, warm, with attitude, soft when needed, open.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I would have loved to work with Jeff Buckley ! And also Chris Cornell, or Ronny James Dio, but...they are all gone. I think Mike Patton would be great too!

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Yes...do not distort vocals, stay a little bit behind when you are putting power, or reduce the gain in the mic.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Any kind, from the cheesiest to the deepest, work is work :)

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Writing melodies!

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring emotion, dynamic, straight forward feelings, good technique and a bunch of other good things!

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: Depending on what I am going to do, I listen to the song a lot, in case it is only vocal recording I rehearse the song before the final step, and I do many takes. In case I am asked to mix the voice I do. If I am asked to write, I listen to the song a lot first and I start collecting ideas, turning around, finding what is best. When I am 100% sure the song kicks ass, I am definitely ready to record the final takes.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I work in my home studio, where I usually record my vocals using a MAC computer, a Apogee Duet soundcard, a Supreme mic condenser or a Shure SM7B .

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I am inspired usually by too many, depending on the musical genre . I could feel inspired by a guitar melody of Joe Satriani as much as I can get inspired by a Kate Bush line or a Billie Eilish vibe.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: When I record vocals for a client, I am driven by its own emotion and vibe. I like to read what is in the other s mind, heart, art ...and build a mood from there, leaving my mark and vocal touch, I like to make it sound at its best and I really work hard for reaching the best results. Thanks to my experience I am conscious of the possibilities and the limits.
