Patrick is a Recording Arts Canada graduate and past-instructor, a sitting juror at FACTOR (The Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent On Recordings), and a current member of the Indica Records studio team (Half Moon Run, Grim Skunk, Hein Cooper, Foreign Diplomats, The Franklin Electric, Busty and the Bass, etc).

In the past he's worked as a Music Director at CHUO89.1FM, an independent radio tracker (charting 50 plus records) and a touring musician.

  2. A: Hybrid, because it's always about the song.

  3. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  4. A: A computer, a pair of SE215's, a SM58beta, Maschine MK3 and what ever midi keyboard has washed a shore.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: I have been making music for over a decade and have been involved in a variety of different industry roles. Starting as a performer, instructor and touring musician, moving towards traditional recording environments and now being affiliated with institutions that assist artists in acquiring funding to achieve their career goals.

  8. A: Tight, muscular rhythm sections and a passion for space and dynamic in productions.

  10. A: Less plugins and more automation.

  12. A: Indie rock, soul and r&b records tend to be the most common requests.

  14. A: A sense of balance, listener perspective and overall arrangement focus.

  16. A: Commonly work from the ground up to a finished product. Pre-production, demos, tracking, mixing and mastering.
