Bobby Knepper is a Nashville-based record producer, mixing engineer and audio editor. His most notable work includes Dreamer Boy's debut album "Love, Nostalgia" (executive producer, assistant mix engineer).
Bobby's audio career began in 2011 when he would produce and engineer demos for his high school band and for songwriter friends. In college, Bobby continued to produce and mix/assistant mix projects he was involved in, including the AM.PM. album "Play it Cool" and the single "Sweet Talk" by ACADEMY and Quinn XCII. He attended Belmont University in Nashville, TN, where he was surrounded by a community of indie bands and aspiring audio engineers/producers.
Bobby's production took a serious turn in 2017 and 2018 as he partnered up with Zach Taylor (a.k.a. "Dreamer Boy") to develop Zach's first album "Love, Nostalgia". Their relationship is completely collaborative, but Bobby's involvement focused on instrumental composition & production, tracking and preliminary mixing.
During this time he also produced & mixed "Persona" by Houston Kendrick and "Fake I.D." & "Supernova" by Blake Lieder, as well as various other mixes.
Bobby works in Ableton Live 10 and Pro Tools 11. He can use Logic Pro X too if needed. He mixes entirely in the box.
