I am singer songwriter from New York, USA looking to be involved in the music scene. I graduated as a Music Performance Major with a concentration on classical piano at Adelphi University. While studying classical piano I taught myself to write songs. Soon after, I attended SAE Institute of Technology and Audio Engineering in New York City to further enhance myself as a musician, artist, and singer-songwriter. I collaborated to produce my first EP, Steffi Paxon, after graduating. I am currently looking to be in a recording studio to further enhance my musical and technological abilities.

What are you working on at the moment?
a funk song
Analog or digital and why?
Both have it's pros and cons. Right now, I work with digital cause that is all I can afford.
What's your 'promise' to your clients?
To be open to and communicative to them.
What do you like most about your job?
Being able to do music and being able to deliver to client needs
What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
That it is an easy job.
What questions do you ask prospective clients?
What is the genre of the song and how they envision the lyrical breakdown of their project.
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
To be aware of your vision and to be open to share it your provider.
What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
I've had my sights set on music since I was 15 years old. I have take control of what I want to learn in music in terms of my education. I began as a singer when I was 15 years old and knew at that age that I must get to know myself as a person and as a musician in able to move forward. I knew from that age that communication is a very important factor, that is why I started on my career to learn how to play the piano and pursue audio engineering.

Pop and bluesy

Leona lewis because I feel like she has such a great and emotive voice.
Can you share one music production tip?
Everything starts with good musicianship and communication.
What type of music do you usually work on?
Pop, funk, blues, ballad
What's your strongest skill?
Singing and writing song.
What do you bring to a song?
I bring emotion, power, and character to the song.
What's your typical work process?
Once I am contacted by my client to sing, write, and track for their song, I usually ask them how they envision lyrical breakdown, genre, and message of the song. I also ask them the inspiration that led them to compose the song. Afterwards, I get started on the writing the lyrics and melody at the same time. I will have the preliminary idea of the song, lyrics, and vocals within 1-3 days in which after I communicate with the client with whatever changes they may want to make.
Tell us about your studio setup.
I have a home studio equipped with an interface, headphone, mic stand, mac computer, condenser and dynamic microphone. I work mostly with Pro Tools 10 and 11. I am also familiar with Logic.
What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
Musicians that inspire me is Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston.
Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
I am mostly a singer songwriter. But my experience as a graduate of audio engineering school allows me to be able to track, edit, mix, and master musical projects. My versatility allows me to be able to communicate within those different fields.
