Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: I would take my drums, a Steinway piano, and my two guitars.

A: Experience, passion, and soul.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I have a home studio along with access to two professional recording studios here in Houston. I have done most of my previous work at my home studio. I use Logic Pro X for everything from making beats to mixing/mastering. Home gear - KRK Rockit 8's, AKAI MPK 49, MASCHINE Mini, Scarlet 2i interface, and RODE NT1 Mic Plugins- Logic Stock, WAVE, Dada Life, Antares, and Native Instruments Plug Ins Studio gear- Neumann U87 microphone, 11 rack – guitar pre amp, Waves Plugins, Slate Digital Plugins, Universal Audio Plugins, MC77 Compressor, Avalon – vacuum tube mic pre amp, AKG414 condenser microphone, Sure737 dynamic microphone, Isolated treatment in vocal booth, AKAI49 midi keyboard, Presonus RC 500 / mic pre amp compressor & EQ, Presonus septre 8″ studio monitors + sub, and Universal audio apollo duo – audio interface.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: I take inspiration from anything. I grew up playing drums so for me inspiration comes easy.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

A: I am REALLY proud of my first big EP with Luna LaRae. I produced it myself, and I am proud of the work because this project took me out of my hip hop and rock background. I lived in France for six months. This is where I heard house music for the first time, and I really like the way it moved people. So I figured out how to make house music, but I added my own flair to this EP. It's a good mix, and it is something everyone can enjoy.

Q: What are you working on at the moment?

A: I am working on EP's for two rappers here in Texas.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Both. They both have a distinct sound. You just have to know when to use them.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I promise to give you 100% of me. We will get it right. Whether it's making a beat, mixing/mastering, songwriting, or ghost work. You will get all of me.

Q: Can you share one music production tip?

A: Yes, remember that at the end of the day you are mixing, producing, and engineering a song that people will need to feel. If I stop feeling the track then I know I did something wrong, and it is time to go back and fix the problem.

A: Hip Hop

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: Drums.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: Typically, I have been doing hip hop work for all clients, but my first placement was with Luna LuRae which has a fused sound of pop and hip hop. I am open to any sound have a wide variety of influences.
