Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Why Choose :) Both are great and have their place.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Extensive work has been done to ensure an accurate listening environment. I have been working daily in my current room for 5 years and know how things should sound. My setup is hybrid by design and revolves around a Pro Tools system with Metric Halo 2882 for conversion. Monitoring is handled by a pair of Dunlavy SC-ll with a set of Focal subwoofers. Amplification is a Valve Audio Exclame which is a hybrid amp with valve input stage and power handling driven by a solid-state design. Processing is handled by a mix of choice of outboard from Chandler, Crane Song & Manley mixed up with some well-loved plugins from Softtube, Waves and Izotope.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been working daily for over 10 years as a Final Mix Engineer for a range of corporates, agencies and sport entertainment companies.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Automation is everthing.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Live Sound Engineers don’t get enough credit for the amount of work and pressure that goes into mixing live.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My current output is split between mastering for artists and corporate, mixed in with final mix for a range of broadcasters.
