Shiv B Vision on SoundBetter

Test me out for free, beforehand.

Music mastering is what I really love to do. For me, mastering is about improving the mix while making it sound finished and competitive.

Frequency balancing, musicality, macro and micro dynamics, the inter-related connection between elements present in the song, or even improving an average mix to make it sound good, I try to do all I possibly can while trying to keep the original vibe of the song intact.

Since, everyone hears differently and has a different taste for the sound, I offer a demo master to give the client a chance to review my work beforehand without paying anything.

** I KEEP EVERY CONVERSATION AND EVERY FILE SENT TO ME, COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL. So, I'd like to kindly advise you to feel safe in that regard.

Interview with Shiv B Vision

  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: I BELIEVE IN BEING KNOWN FOR WORK, NOT EQUIPMENT. If one can do good work, then the audience doesn't care about studio setup. It's true. So, I'd not like to answer this question. No offense.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Digital. Ditched analog sometime ago. In Digital, we have full control over everything. For, e.g. we can record an almost clean signal digitally and then process and alter it exactly the way you want in-the-box. With analog, there's already some stuff that's altered because of the nature of electronics; and we can't do anything about it. I usually don't like anything to change my stuff without my explicit permission. - Just my personal preference.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: About what they want. Completely depends on how they approach me with notes and demand of the project.

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: I usually love to work on Hip-Hop/rap, pop-rock, pop, edm, and R&B.

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: Just be honest. Don't be reluctant about anything.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: Depends on their question(s).

  13. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  14. A: I will leave no stones unturned.

  15. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  16. A: It challenges me to make the most out of something that doesn't have much real estate available.

  17. Q: How would you describe your style?

  18. A: "Pukka"

  19. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  20. A: That it is about applying some typical processing. I used to think the same way when I was not properly acquainted with that. It's way more than that.

  21. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  22. A: Music mastering
