Katmaz on SoundBetter

Unique Custom Productions, Professional Mixes or I can add Guitar and Analog Synths to any project! (Moog Voyager, Prophet Rev 2, Yamaha DX7, Korg Minilougue)

I'm a Producer, Engineer, Multi-Instrumentalist, and all around good guy.

I approach music from a visual sense, which results in a raw, emotional, and often cinematic quality. Having worked as an assistant in the studio with Grammy artists SZA and Ro James, I'm always searching for a new sound. I'd love to work along side serious and select Singer/Songwriters, Indie bands, R&B and Pop artists. We can start from scratch or work on something you're ready to record.

I've released a few tracks of my own as well, here's what people have said:

"Sometimes a song comes along that's beautiful enough to put me into a stupor." -- Indie Shuffle (Best Folk of 2016)
"a deeply cut and groovy affair anchored with proggy avant garde bass and drums and a bouncy jazz(ish) / meets chamber pop vocal performance all the while having an art rock edge." -- American Pancake
"a soulful piece of folk orchestration that could fill a stadium packed with awestruck fans" -- The Wild Honey Pie

Currently unable to host studio sessions, but I am happy to work remotely, and even video chat through the details of your project.

Katmaz is a rare find, folks. He has great musical instincts, a down-to-earth energy, and a super-duper work ethic. Because he's a singer-songwriter himself, he understands how important getting your tracks right is to you -- and he wants them as perfect as you do. It's unusual to find a producer/collaborator as invested in your work as you are. He intuitively understands the vibe of a piece of music and brings inventive ideas to the table that complement and elevate your vision. On top of that he's just a good and fun guy, which ain't common. I highly recommend him.

I recently started working with Katmaz and it has been extremely valuable. Starting on a new project can be daunting but Katmaz’s skillset, speed and intuition with music production helps take a huge amount of unnecessary stress out of producing music.
He lit the fire under my first track. Elevated it into the place that I was looking for. He is a real “feeling driven” producer with all the technical skills of a top mix engineer. He has a great ear and open mind, allowing him to work with genre-bending styles as well as classical/traditional pieces. Genuinely stoked to have him as my producer

I have been searching all my life for a producer who is a gem. Katmaz’s non-stop work ethic, delivery, execution and mastery of beat creation/ song writing/ vocals are simple perfection and one of a kind. His kindness and “ we are a team” philosophy truly makes me feel like I am in a partnership with the best vibes. He believes in his craft and in you as the artist or teamember His talent is mindblowing. He is authentic and humble ! TO SUM IT UP ,Katmaz is simply a rare find in the industry and you would be foolish to not have him as a producer/ artist/ musician.

Katmaz has brought my music to a new level by pushing me to expand my sound. I was working with purely acoustic sounds for so long until working with him and I’m loving the evolution of the sound that has been inspired by him. He has great instincts when it comes to making songs come to life, and he’s extremely skilled in the studio which keeps things moving efficiently. He’s also a pleasure to be around.

I searched for quite a while for the right producer/collaborator for my new EP, and I found it in Katmaz! He is professional, punctual, and most important-delivers YOUR vision. It was a pleasure to create with him in his studio, and if you let him run free while the track plays, he can provide that extra spark you weren't expecting. My new EP is complete. I fully recommend this producer. Book him now!
