Mixing & Mastering

Stephen Turney on SoundBetter

I have a foot in both worlds. On one side, I regularly mix and master live concerts and studio sessions for SiriusXM Satellite Radio (Credits include Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stone Temple Pilots, and many more). On the other side, I mix and master records for indie bands and artists looking to launch their career.

I'm Stephen Turney, a mixing and mastering engineer based out of Nashville, TN. Originally from Texas, I moved up to Nashville a little over a decade ago to make records and have been doing it ever since.

Making a record is hard work - whether you’ve spent thousands of dollars in the studio or countless hours in your bedroom, you’re ready for it to be done - and you want it done right. Maybe you or a band member has tried mixing or mastering your record, but at the end of the day it just isn’t there yet. I’m here to help. I have years of experience working with independent artists to get them over that last hurdle that’s keeping them from letting the world hear their music.

I take great pride in my work and work tirelessly to make sure every song that comes through my studio gets the best mix possible. That means not only does it sound great, but it sounds the way you want it to sound, period.

Whether you’re a new singer-songwriter trying to finish up your first song, or a seasoned veteran looking for a fresh set of ears, I’d love to talk with you and see what I can do to take your songs to the next level.

I'd love to hear about your project. Click the 'Contact' button above to get in touch.
