Autery is a good audio engineer with a great ear for sonic sound when it comes to sound editing, mixing, and mastering. Mr. Weekes is also crazy with the voice overs when you let him take the creativity reign.

Interview with Autery Weekes

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: (Caribbean music) Soca, Dj and Radio drops!!!

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: It depends!!! For example, what tools is available to get the job done. Presenting a finish product that translate clear across many devices is the end goal, not how we got there. (Personal opinion)

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: The smile on a client face when they receive their finish product (that sounds great) from me.

  7. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  8. A: MY career path is to own my own production studio creating great audio files that stands out from my competition. 22 years of DJing and being an audio engineer help me to navigate my dark world similar to a bat; allowing me to observe and locate which directions things that vibrate in our diverse sound reality is coming from.

  9. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  10. A: Listen, analyze; then execute.

  11. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  12. A: Clarity and vibes!!!

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: Simple, however, effective in getting the job done. My recording/ mixing booth sound proof and carpeted. Pair of JBL monitors, using Reaper, iZotope, Melodyne. and wave’s plugins. You got the idea!!!

  15. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  16. A: I am proud of all my work good or bad depending on the perception of the observer. Most of my work is done with unknown artist and I enjoy every moment of it. I believe everyone have the opportunity to speak to the world. How you go about it, it’s all up to you (the person with the microphone). Project: Public announcement for National Federation for the blind, Maryland (Prince George’s County) Harbor Chapter. Type of project: Audio/video Duty: Director, audio and video editor (Producer). Bless!!

  27. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  28. A: Be knowledgeable about what services you need from a service provider that will enhance your creativity. Lastly, compare your original song with the new mixed and mastered song your service provider sent you. Could you notice the difference, is the new song much better? If yes, then your service provider did a great job.

  29. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
