Marybeth Kern is a multi-woodwind instrumentalist and composer with a driving passion for film scores and jazz. Her active music career has allowed her to perform at various venues throughout the country including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Nokia Theatre, the Kennedy Center and the American Music Theatre. In addition, Emmy award winning “HitRECord On TV” has used a variety of Marybeth’s compositions, arrangements and recordings for it’s first two seasons on air. She can be found playing clarinet for Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s “Impossible Dream” mini documentary used in conjunction with Sony Pictures to promote his film, “The Walk.” She is currently a member of The New York Jazzharmonic, and recently appeared in the national LG V20 commercial, "Everyday, Spectacular" playing baritone sax and clarinet.

Marybeth's musical inspiration comes from composers and musicians such as Thomas Newman, James Newton Howard, Alan Sylvestri, Dan Higgins, Cannonball Adderley and David Sanborn. Her teachers included Broadway musicians Allen Won and Adam Kolker, the legendary LA studio recording artist Dan Higgins and the most recorded and imitated saxophonist of all time, David Sanborn.
