Hello! My name is Alan Keary and I am a string arranger/player who can provide anything from a traditional quartet, a large 32 piece string orchestra or an improvised pass running through a tape delay on violin, viola, cello or double bass. On top of being a string arranger I am also a professional sessions electric bass player.

- Over 12 years of experience in string arranging/ recording / improvising.
- Have access to members of the Halle and BBC Philharmonic orchestra (if you so wish!)
- Record using high end microphones and pre amps.
- Acoustically treated home studio.
- violin, viola, cello and double bass tracking in a variety of approaches (i.e classical, jazz, folk)

Alan is an incredibly talented musician, able to improvise and interpret what a song needs, and then communicate those ideas back to you. I was interested in his experimental side but that didn't quite fit my song. Alan approached certain sections with that in mind but more with voicings than effects to suite the song better. He plays full string sections but don't forget that includes double bass. I immediately hired him for that too. Alan is a great guy and I can't wait to work with him again.

Alan is a fantastic strings player. I worked with him recently on my song 'Seas Unknown' where he played the requested parts accurately, provided quick responses and even added his own awesome improvised touches. I highly recommend him and have would be happy to work with him again in the future.
