My name is Elijah Newman. I am a songwriter/artist with commercial success, signed to Wiretap Records. I have had placements on Networks like CBS and FX. I studied songwriting at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. I was assistant engineer to Music Supervisor Bob Thiele Jr. on the last season of "Sons of Anarchy." I also do sound design and audio engineering for artists and businesses alike. I am also head of Support Operations/Brand Management at NoiseTrade, a tribe building website. I work directly with and am mentored by artist/entrepreneur and CEO Derek Webb.
I can offer songwriting advice, co-writing, and editing. I specialize in Rock, Folk, and Punk. However, I write in all genres. I also offer full recording, mixing, and mastering.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Assistant engineer on the 7th season of "Son's of Anarchy." I loved the show way before I worked on it. The music we made was great, and the musicians were so humble and incredible. I got to work with a slew of musicians, some famous, some not. It really grew my knowledge and it was awesome to hear my work on one of my favorite shows!

A: Fully functional tracking, mixing and mastering studio. Located in East Nashville.

A: Both work hand in hand. You need both to achieve most things these days.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: on an island? with no electricity? an acoustic guitar and paper (guess I will use a rock for a pen)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started performing and writing at age 15. I went to Belmont University in Nashville to study Songwriting and Music Business. From there, I worked on the show "Son's of Anarchy" in LA. After that, I dove into Sync Placement and Audio Engineering. As an artist, I have recorded 4 Full length Albums. I signed to Wiretap Records this year!

A: Rock and Roll tinged with Punk Rock sensibilities

A: Use your ears, trust them above all else. If it sounds good- Do it.
