Coming from the production side of the business, he started years ago teaching young talents how to get their tracks professional sounding. Working with well-known artists as a ghost producer, he now connects with the crowd as an artist himself. Kunert, who studied music production and composing in 2005, has been awarded the degree of Bachelor of Recording Arts from the Middlesex University in London in 2008. His signature sound is a mixture of solid basslines, harmonic elements with euphoric melodies, combined with an outstanding atmospheric sound design and top quality mixing and mastering processes.
He ascended to new musical heights and made his way to the island of Ibiza - Kunert was given the opportunity to play two venues for well-known label HeavensGate – Live From Ibiza 2016 & 2017 including a breathtaking event on the legendary SkyBar of OD Ocean Drive Ibiza Hotel which was broadcast live on di.fm.
Kunert’s first release was on the album “Feeling Ibiza Vol.4“ on Cosmopolitan Flavour. This compilation already scored a 10/10 in the music column of FAZE Magazine Germany. His debut track “First Imprint“ Chillout Mix became a great success. Due to its positive impact he decided to also work on a uplifting version which was released on Alex M.O.R.P.H.s label Universal Nation on March 6th, 2017.

Interview with Kunert
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: As it needs special skills to mix and master trance tracks (cause they are usually pretty dense voicing wise) I just offer working on trance and progressive trance tracks, cause that's exactly what I did the last 7 years as a ghost producer.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Mastering tracks with a solid bottom end and an overall transparent and wide sounding mid- and top end.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I - and that's also true for my collegues - can't fix it in the mix. Most of the people out there think that it's possible to make a professional sounding mix out of bad base material (bad sounddesign, bad voicing, bad combination of FX and so on). That's not possible, I just can let it shine a little bit more and try to fix the rugged problems but that's it finally. So please be patient and ask yourself if your production fit the needs for a professional mixing and mastering.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always keep on comparing your work with the one of a pro. Listen carefully at each and every stage of your production. That really helps to get where you want to end up with. A solid, airplay ready choon!
