  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: The project I´m most proud of, are my early Soundcloud tracks. They are the less profitable works I´ve made by far but the level of production and the interaction with other amazing musicians have made it a very memorable piece of musical history in my life.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I´m currently working on various Soundcloud international collaborations and I´m working with two local bands for playing live guitar.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. I´m not against analog, but digital has reached very high levels today and it brings portability and low cost to everyone interested in music.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: Taking their ideas, materialize them and make them ready for marketing.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: That I can work all day and the only thing that will get tired are my ears or my fingers, but my mind will always want more.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Why recording studios are so expensive? Because we use valuable hardware but even more valuable skills.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That I´m a DJ.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: Do you want to reach commercial success and exposure? What artist or band do you want to sound like? What are your future plans?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Always have a solid idea of what do you want for your music and always aim high, better production, better performances.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: SM57, XLR cable, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface, ATH-50 Headphones, a laptop.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I´ve been working with music since highschool, 8 years ago. I started recording myself with whatever I found. That way I learned to push the limits of the hardware I used and therefore improving my musical and technical skills. I´ve worked playing live and mixing various projects from college and now I´m ready to bring some great mixes to the surface.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Eclectic and thoughtful.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Devin Townsend, because he is a great musician and a very prolific and creative person.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Don´t finish the project until you are completely satisfied with every detail. Rest when you can´t see what is wrong or right.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: Progressive Metal, Alternative Rock and Soundtracks

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Mixing powerful Rock/Metal Tracks

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I try to bring the essence and energy of an idea to a song every time I play, compose or mix.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: First I listen to the references and do a little research to form a concept in which I will work. Then I do the tracking or mixing, allowing the clients revisions and suggestions. Then a final revision is made.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio setup is light and portable. I use my ATH-50 headphones, my Focustrite Scarlett 2i2, an Ibanez Electric guitar, Ibanez 5-string Bass and my computer.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: Pop Producer Manny Marroquin, Joey Sturgis.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: Mixing and vocal production.

3 Revisions in terms of mixing. 2 Revisions in session tracks. Mixing a track is done in 2 weeks. Tracking session is complete within 4 days after the day of request.
