Interview with Profile User 64686

  1. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  2. A: I would say versatility. Working in the music industry making music for TV ads or films especially, you have to listen to all genres of music. If you can't do a particular music requested by a client, then you'll have a chance of losing that client.

  3. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  4. A: Skrillex. He's always innovative with fresh new sounds and musical hooks or styles. Most would follow or copy, Skrillex leads. He's a trendsetter.

  5. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  6. A: Take a short break. Take a day off. Don't overwork yourself over a 4 bar loop. Come back and listen again. Your creativity neurons might cook something new for you!

  7. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  8. A: A bit of everything - pop, ballads, r&b soul, orchestral, but for now I'm leaning towards EDM, Trap, Dubstep, Future Bass and looking for more.

  9. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  10. A: Justice. Give me a melody with or without lyrics. If you want it to be a sad song, I can do it. A dance floor hit? I can do that too!

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: Home bedroom studio, mostly pre-production, non commercial building. Avid Steinberg's Cubase Pro user. Native Instruments VSTs, Serum VST synth, ProjectSAM Orchestral, Akai 49keys and Roland weighted 88keys.

  13. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  14. A: John Williams, Skrillex, Zedd etc.

  15. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  16. A: Music composition and arrangement for album recordings, TV and radio commercials, corporate films and documentaries.
