Interview with Landon Hook

  1. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  2. A: The most common work I do is tracking & mixing singles, EP's, and albums.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: I love combining the two worlds to get the best sounds possible! But if I had to lean one way or the other, I would have to say analog. Nothing beats the mojo and warmth that analog outboard gear brings to a mix.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: I love to understand what inspires clients. What do they like? What sound are they after? This helps me better understand how to cater to the needs and desires of the client for his/her tracks.

  7. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  8. A: Getting to make music with fantastic people.
