Hello, my name is Glenn and I'm a Drummer and Recording Engineer, based in Richmond, United Kingdom. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Drumming for a British Prog Rock band called War Elephant. Really pushed me technically and the results where spectacular!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Mix and Master project.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Yes. Alex VanTrue - unbelievable vocalist that I have used several times!
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. It's what I know and what I can deliver with in a high quality, time-efficient manner. Analog is great, but if you dont know what you're doing it will not get great results.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will always go out of my way to deliver beyond expectations.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Everything. I wouldn't change it for the world.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Must I record to a click track. Yes!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's easy.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Many. It is important to be 100% sure of requirements and expectations so as not to waste anyone's time.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Go with your gut.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Ukulele, loaded iPod, Kick, snare and hats.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Been going for 17 years plus. Initially doing more Film, TV and Radio production, but lately going more into music production.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Clean and polished.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Anyone who is passionate.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: If it sounds good, you're doing it right. Don't get caught up in too many "rules".

A: Rock to Metal.

A: Audio production without doubt.

A: Hopefully groove and musicality above flash.

A: Work hard until its right!

A: Steinberg Nuendo 7 DAW. MOTU audio interfaces. M-Audio and Allen&Heath pre-amps.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: As far as drums go, the groove god - Steve Gadd. Production wise, Rick Rubin, Terry Date, Kevin Shirley.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Session drumming, mixing and mastering.
