Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: One unique element of my recording process is my dedication to a complete vocal arrangement. I can add background vocals, riffs and harmonies wherever I see fit in order to help your song manifest its full potential.

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: I have been singing since birth and studying vocals professionally since my adolescence. I took my studies to the next level in 2014 when I started in USC's Popular Music Performance program, where I am now a senior.

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Digital. It's faster, easier, higher quality, and connects me to you! Without digital recording methods, I would not be able to do what I do.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: What is the intent behind the song? Is this for personal use, or are you planning on releasing it? What's the BPM? Do you plan on using my vocals in the final cut? What is the song/track about to you? Do you have any particular styles in mind? Would you like the raw vocals or should I comp/edit/compress/pitch them myself? How creative would you like me to get in terms of melodic variation and background vocal composition?

Q: How would you describe your style?

A: I have a naturally pure, sweet, and bright vocal tone. This provides a solid foundation from which I can emulate many genres, including pop, rock, indie, emo/alt, r&b, hip-hop, oldies, and more.

Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: Most of my recording commissions have been for pop/electronic music, however in my own songs the style is more indie-rock.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: My strongest skill is my 3+ octave vocal range and dynamic capability. I have an unusually high belting range and my "head voice" extends to near whistle-range (D6). Conversely, I can sing comfortably down to a C3.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: After a thorough vocal warm-up and mug of tea, I usually pass through the whole song a few times before taking the lead part section by section. Then I record all the harmonies and background vocals before finishing off with riffs and other ad libs.

Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

A: I record everything on my professional grade Mojave MA-200 microphone, resulting in radio-quality sound. I record everything myself in my home studio. Thus, I deliver consistent results with extreme efficiency.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: In my opinion, Christina Aguilera and Ariana Grande have the best technical capability out there today. However, I'm more inspired by the performance styles of rock legends Jeff Buckley and Robert Plant. I always strive to combine technical expertise with sincere delivery for the best possible performance.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

A: Producers, fans and clients contact me to sing on everything from original tracks and demos to custom-tailored cover songs. Writing lyrics and melodies over original tracks makes up the bulk of my work.
