Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are you looking to accomplish and who are you looking to reach with your music? Are you open to creative interpretations or are you looking to keep your recording "by the book". I tend to interpret a bit.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you are looking for an emotional performance by a seasoned female vocalist, I'm your girl. Please also try me if you need a voice over performance (narration, ad, on hold message, character-young child, southern gal and others)...
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Oh boy, then I'd have to learn how to play an instrument...
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Since I was 9... many moons ago. Theater, bands, studio
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: "classic pop with a twist of soul and a touch of theater"
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Any artist that needs my services and needs a voice like mine :)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Not my area, so not qualified.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Classic pop (like pop used to be).. www.reverbnation.com/sharondifronzo -- when you hear songs like You're MY World and Will You.. you'll know what I mean. Am a child of the 70's, but will sing any good song.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: "emoting".. I am told
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Passion, experience, soul, expression
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I receive recordings of rough song demos. Listen, learn and travel to relevant studio
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I do not have one. I travel to studios. I will in the near future though.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My vocal heroes are Barbra Streisand, Linda Ronstadt, Gladys Knight and others. They have inspired me most. I am inspired by people who fight the odds, are independent and prove themselves.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Vocal work - live and studio. Regarding studio work - song demo, voiceover, jingles
