Interview with Alex Rivas

Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I Produce and create most of my music in Logic Pro but then when I’m going to mix I’ll export all the tracks and use Pro tools for Mixing. I usually Mix my productions (I love it) but if I produce and Mix I prefer them be sent to master with someone else for their ears but of course I can master as well with great results But It is nice that the final part of the process is done for somebody that have never listen to the song before.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a hybrid studio set up where I use the best of both worlds. The fast and precise of digital with the flavor and character of the analogue. For mixing I use a lot of Universal Audio plugins, fab filter, some waves, etc and then they go to my analogue Mix bus. SSL Fusion, to a Dangerous Compressor, Better maker EQ and to print back to the DAW Dangerous AD Converter. For producing I like Omnisphere, Native instruments, Keyscape my go to for keys, Ik multimedia, Native Instruments, Arturia. I always have a Nord Keyboard by me as a keyboard/Controller of choice, and I have some live instruments as well like some bases (Jazz fender) Taylor guitars and fender electric guitars, helix guitar pedal. I like to have all the gear on ready so when the ideas come you don’t lose them trying to setting up a piece of equipment. 😁

A: Music production and Mixing. Taking the rough ideas and converting them into profesional that are radio ready. Find the right vibe and style to fit every artist.
