PeteSnacks on SoundBetter

My name is Peter Huston and I am a music producer residing in St. Louis, MO, USA. I love making remixes as well as original productions and would love to create something new with you. I make a wide range of electronic music from funky house tracks to euphoric bass songs.

I love making all sorts of electronic music and I would love to make music with you. The tracks I make stretch from boom-bap hip-hop and trap beats, to funky house and euphoric bass music. I would love to remix some of your tracks or build an original around an idea that you have.
I am also getting started with mixing and mastering. I have spent many years mixing and mastering my own songs and now want to offer my services to your projects.

Feel free to email me with any further questions or inquiries.

Interview with PeteSnacks

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I am making lots of remixes and working towards an original EP

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: I'm pretty new here, but Jordan Criddle from MixedbyJordan recommended this sight to me and he is a good dude. Hit him up for all your mixing needs.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: I love the feeling that music can give people.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: The two need to live together. Digital for accuracy and convenience, analog for character and weight.

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: Allow the opportunity for collaboration.

  11. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  12. A: Laptop with Ableton, Apollo Duo, my headphones, and Elektron Analog Rytm (I don't own one but I want one desperately), and a coffee maker.

  13. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  14. A: I have been making music for 6 years and I love it more every day. Ultimately I would like to be able to be self sustaining on music.

  15. Q: How would you describe your style?

  16. A: I would say I am very eclectic in my productions and I like to fuse genres together.

  17. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  18. A: I would love to work with Lido because he is a music wizard and I would love to watch him work.

  19. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  20. A: Use reference tracks for mixing.

  21. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  22. A: Mainly house and future bass, but also a lot of hip hop.

  23. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  24. A: I bring proficiency in a range of genres and the ability to combine them when suited.

  25. Q: What's your typical work process?

  26. A: It really depends on the project and the vision of the end goal, but often with music production I will start with an interesting chord progression or build up a drum pattern.

  27. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  28. A: I mostly do remixing or beat making, but I have started to do some mixing work as well as producing tracks around vocals or a song idea.
