Collaboration and chemistry are at the heart of the Ginger experience, starting with the layout.
The extra-large control room can house an entire band: drums, guitars, bass, piano and vocals are all recorded in the same space, with plenty of room for the technical team as well.
This creates the sort of intimate atmosphere that traditional high-end studios simply can’t match: however, the studio can also be customised to capture every sonic element with near-total separation and clarity.
Not to brag or anything, but Justin Bieber, Flume, Lil Nas X, Wu-Tang Clan, Jason Derülo, and Skrillex are just some of the artists that have caught lightning in a bottle at Ginger.

A: Choose a producer/engineer that understands your vision
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Sun cream, surfboard, towel, board shorts sunglasses - it’s a desert island, who want to make music when you’re there!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started as a luthier (guitar repairs) and then moved into studios about 15 years ago.

A: Faithful, honest, fun!

A: Damon Albarn - I love his angle on the human condition

A: You don’t always have to do something to a sound. Some things are great “as is”!

A: Getting an artist’s vision into reality quickly

A: Objective perspective

A: The song is the cake, everything else is icing. Don’t spend all your time making icing.

A: I’m running Pro Tools 2018 into a 48 Channel SSL Duality, I’ve got plenty of outboard and a heap of plug ins
