My primary goal is to help others speak directly to their audience through lyrics, creating a sound that compliments both the image and intention of the artist.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To create something that rings true for them. Nothing amplifies a performance more than truth.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love that I can sit down with nothing and end up with something tangible and great.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: 1. How do you want the song(s) to make you feel? Essentially, a great song relies heavily on a strong emotion and how you express that emotion. 2. Who is the song for/ Who is your audience? 3. What is the song for? (Album, single, marketing, etc.)
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Be authentic. You can never be great trying to be someone else.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I typically work from a musical idea, creating a progression or minimal arrangement to solidify the feel and tone of the track. Then, I listen to it on a loop, and start thinking about the shape of the melodic line. I try to tap into the emotion that the track makes me feel and then pair it with personal or observed experience and create a narrative around it. After the lyrics, I will embellish the track to fit, maintaining the integrity of those primary elements.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly write lyrics and top line, occasionally creating demo tracks and/or arrangements. I also work as a demo recording vocalist for other songwriters.
