Donny O. Collins on SoundBetter

I have been a musician for the past 32 years, primarily piano, vocals, and guitar. I love to create, mix and produce music. You focus on the music, let me focus on your mix.

A southeast Georgia native, Donny has been involved with music since a very early age. His intrinsic interest and involvement with musical performance and production began in 1987 with piano, guitar, synthesizers, drum machines, and MIDI sequencing, influenced by a wide variety of musical artists. He began writing original music in 1992 and continues today in various aspects of production, from writing to tracking, mixing, and performance. Donny delivers a great sounding final product because of skilled use of the latest audio production technology, meticulous work process and craftsmanship, love of production, and most importantly, a talented musical ear with exceptional musical tastes. As a client, you’ll collaborate closely with Donny throughout the entire process to develop a high-quality final product.

Donny came to our rehearsal site and recorded our six piece band. He brought all equipment needed and was very efficient with the setup. He recorded five songs for us in about three hours. In less than 48 hours he had rough mixes ready for us. He did more tweaking and had the final mixes for us in just a few days. We were blown away at the quality of the mixes! Our lead guitar player said this, "that is Nashville quality right there!" I highly recommend Donny for any recording or mixing project. He is professional, dependable, and passionate about his work. Donny delivers!

Donny is very professional, and a joy to work with. My band had already recorded an EP, and had it mastered by someone else. After Donny heard our mixes, he reached out and attempted to fix a few issues he heard. 24 hours later, we had our entire EP remixed and ready for distribution. I was very impressed with the quality work, and the quick return. Donny even reached out for feedback and worked with us to make sure the mixes sounded exactly as we had intended. I highly recommend working with Donny on projects of any kind. We look forward to working with him in the future.
