Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm very proud of the work I've done on an ep for a duo i'm in so far
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on an ep for a duo producer/singer group I'm in
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: I am new here, but I hope to meet people soon!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to make music as a job
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Usually something like "how quick can you get it done?" My answer is pretty quick, but I'll take the necessary time it takes to make it good.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: that it's easy to make good music
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: "when can I start?”
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: just let me know what you want and I'll do my best to give it to you
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: laptop, microphone, headphones, audio interface, ukulele
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started taking piano lessons when I was 7 and I still take them today at 18. So my background is in classical and jazz, technically. Before I got on Logic at age 15, I wrote songs on Finale notation software using awful sounding stock orchestral sounds. I've now been using Logic for about 2 and a half years but it feels like much longer
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: pop influenced, rad, and diverse
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Blondie (Debbie Harry) back in her prime. I love her voice.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I usually start my project with my mastering chain already on. Obviously the chain can change during the course of the project, but if you have your bus compression, limiting, excitation, eq, etc already running on your output, you will only need to find your levels once when mixing, instead of having to readjust them after throwing the chain on later. Also, try and get the initial sound right from the beginning instead of saying "I'll fix it later.”
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: usually electronic, but like I mentioned earlier, I like to work on all types of music and I have really solid libraries for most genres
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: my strongest skill(s) are producing and engineering. I have my certificate in general music studies from Berklee College of Music Online in which I took two courses on Composing and Producing music and one on mixing, and I work on music nonstop everyday and am very comfortable producing, mixing, and mastering
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can produce you a full song, mixed and mastered in most any genre. I believe I have an ear for what sounds good and I bring a pop sensibility to most things I do
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I'm flexible, but in general I try to accommodate the way the person I'm working with is most comfortable with
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: i have a desktop computer as well as a laptop that both run Logic Pro X. I run through KRK monitors (with sub). I also have a Rode NT1 microphone that I use to record and obviously a variety of plugins and libraries for producing. Aside from that I have Traktor S4, which I use for DJing.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: mixing or producing mostly for electronic but I love all types of music and have experience mixing lots of other genres such as country, rock, folk, and coffeehouse music.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: to make something genuine, awesome, and suited to whatever the client needs
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: digital just because it's easier to carry around
