I'm a guitarist that is at home in the studio and on stage. I currently play for country artist Thomas Rhett. My goal is to provide guitar tracks that help you achieve your creative and professional goals, on-time and within budget.

As a professional guitarist, I have worked with a number of artists in various genres. Currently, I'm the guitarist for Country singer Thomas Rhett. My past performance credits include international Indie artist BANNERS as well as Canadian Country artists Autumn Hill and Kira Isabella. I understand the need to make the lyric and melody stand out, while having strong musical support from the band.

I grew up playing Hard Rock and Heavy Metal and studied Jazz and Funk in post-secondary institutions. Over the last few years I've immersed myself in current Country music and love being able to nail the tones and parts in the country genre.I recently finished recording guitars on Thomas Rhett's Spotify Single releases of "Unforgettable" and "Castle on the Hill".

I can provide electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and ganjo. I record using industry standard software and instruments that help make your recording shine!

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm really proud of the performances on the Spotify releases I played on.

A: Creating tones for the 2018 country tour I'll be working on.

Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Being able to help artists, from across the world, musical aspirations become a reality.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Who are you listening to right now? Who were you listening to when you wrote this song? What role do you see the guitar playing in the overall impact of the song?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been a professional musician for over 15 years, and have been doing session work for the last 6 years. I worked on cruise ships in my early 20's, learning a lot about different styles and providing a service. Since returning to dry land, I have been working to establish myself as a reliable, honest, dependable musician.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Double track rhythm guitars with less gain then you think is necessary. Pan them left and right. Much bigger sounding then you would expect.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Country, Rock, Pop, Hard Rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Finding an appropriate tone to fit into the mix of the song! Sometimes a guitar track will sound awesome by itself, but won't fit into the mix. Sometimes the weirder sounded guitar track actually works a lot better in the mix.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: After receiving a track from a client, I'll listen to the song once or twice and pay attention to the lyrics. I'll then write a chart for the song and often record an acoustic track for myself to get used to the form. If I've been given reference tracks, I'll then listen to them, making notes on what is occurring in the guitar tracks in those songs (parts/effects/etc...), so that I can try to bring a similar vibe to my clients song.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Pro Tools 12 and Logic Pro X are my DAW's of choice. Pro Tools for audio recording, Logic for songwriting as well as drum and synthesizer production. I run a Kemper Profiling Amplifier for a majority of my electric guitar tones, through an APOGEE duet. I use industry standard Shure and Rode microphones for tracking acoustic acoustic guitars and ganjo (which I will also record a DI signal for post-processing).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm constantly inspired by such producers as Dann Huff, Billy Mann, Joey Moi, and Butch Walker. Every guitar player brings something new and interesting to the table, but players such studio players as Tom Bukovac, Dann Huff, Steve Lukather, and many of the modern sounds that are currently on top 40 and Indie radio. (Yes, I still listen to radio).
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Electric and Acoustic rhythm guitar tracks, melodic hooks and solos!
