Interview with Delicious Food

  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: I work at home, know my ears, room, monitors and heaphones: all are less than perfect, like anything else. What's relevant: being able to identify every flaw, dealing with it, and making the best out of what's available.

  3. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  4. A: Been working on my own music for a decade, collaborating in various projects with local bands, and learning audio skills non stop for the last five years.

  5. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  6. A: Trust that good will + good communication + OK skills + OK gear = satisfying result.

  7. Q: How would you describe your style?

  8. A: Behaviour: open relentless worker. Taste for definition, space, and movement.

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Purpose is key.

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: Pop.

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: Focus.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: Attention, a lot. Care, even more. Good dressing that fits everywhere.

  17. Q: What's your typical work process?

  18. A: Learning (always). Listening (in context). Feeling (emotion>reaction>mix move). Comparing (reference track rule, level matching rule). Preparing (is everything). Processing (on purpose). Taking a step back. Exchanging point of views about the result. Validating.

  19. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  20. A: Fink. Bobby Mc Ferrin. Everyone else.
