  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: My solo recording are being used for lot of television programs in the US.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Mixing for a new recordlabel from Amsterdam. The artist is called "Marie" and composing music for dance theater.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: not yet.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I have to work digital, so i can total recall all productions i work on in minutes.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: Create the best mix i can make from the recording.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: Get into the flow of the sound and music.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: To the question: "Could you make my mix loud?" I answer: "The silence before and after a sound makes the impact not a brick wall limiter".

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: It's not possible to fix everything in the mix or master.

  20. A: Trust the best intentions of the people you hire and they work as hard as the can.

  22. A: Laptop, keyboard, monitors, soundcard and mics

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: While playing in several bands as bass player and composing music for television i wanted to learn to produce the music i wrote. Now I'm fulltime working freelance on music and media.

  26. A: Love to impress the customer. The customer is always right

  30. A: Big dynamics can be made with silences.

  32. A: Cinematic music, IDM, crossover, rock

  34. A: Clear and fast decision making.

  36. A: I'm focused on the essential story which the music should tell.

  40. A: After working for more then 10 years with analog gear. Now most of the time it's all in the box with 3 monitor systems. Still loving my 30 year old NS10 and now most of the time i use my KRK's.

  42. A: Sakamoto, BT, Brain Eno, Trevor Horn

  44. A: Most of the time, I produce side by side with the artist/performer.
