Unfurled Umbrella is the brain child of Matt Whatley, and Mark Randall. Matt is an audio engineer/musician specializing in mastering, and cut his teeth recording artists such as Jeremy Camp, and Cas Haley. Mark, who like Matt, is dedicated to front end perfection and creating unique mixes that accent the talent of the artist.
The idea is that bands/artists can come and work with seasoned professionals and get major label quality results and reasonable pricing. When we start, we like to consult with the artist to see what she/he has in mind and what exactly it is that they want to accomplish with their project. Then we (along with you) map out a game plan to make that happen. Whether that means tracking a band all at once, hiring studio musicians for certain parts etc. (or perhaps a whole team of musicians). We can make that happen for you and we have the gear and resources to do so.
