Christopher Hutt

Music Producer, Audio Engineer

Christopher Hutt on SoundBetter

I'm an audio engineer, making my own music which contains the Saxophone (Alto, Baritone and electronic Sax: AKAI EWI) mixed with electronic music (mainly produced with Logic Pro X, Native Instruments Machine and Komplete 8 Ultimate as well as a keyboard for chords). My music is not about commercialisation, but rather about my own musical strive.

I make my living as an audio engineer at television at the moment. I've chosen this path as it helped me purchase my musical strive even further which started early in my live with the flute which got replaced by the Alto Saxophone as I turned 8 years old (I got hooked on Jazz), that I never stopped playing ever since, which is why it is an extension of my personality. Since about my eleventh birthday I started to become interested into Hip Hop (mainly G-Funk like Dr. Dre and others like Wu-Tang, even though I didn't understand the lyrics by then. What captured me was the groove and the beat making) which led to me starting to make electronic music, leading to me considering audio engineering as a profession (I got the SAE Audio Engineering Diploma as well as the B.A.). As I turned 15 I joined a Ska-Punk Band which later evolved itself to a Reggae, then a classic Rock and finally some sort of Neo Poprock-Band but sadly we broke up after 10 years of making music together (Green Tea Monkeys, later on BENTZ). I added the Baritone Saxophone, the Native Instruments Machine and the AKAI EWI into my repertoire and as time moved on my music explored the depths of electronic music, classical music (mainly Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart) and japanese Fusionjazz (T-Square) which led to my style right now. Another great incluence is Koji Kondo, why I wrote my BA Thesis about Game Sound.
