  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I recently worked on an Album with the the singer from Heavens Basement. It should be released early next year its Brilliant!

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: At the moment I a mixing a rock record.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Both! what ever suits the record. I think the argument is old now digital is awesome! analog is awesome. you choose!

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: To give my all!

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: I think just doing what I do is enough.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: How long does it take to record an Album,

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: Make everything sound good!

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: I ask about them, who influences them who they are listening too. I like to get a feel for who they are because the music is generally an extension of there personality. I also like to know what they want to get out of the project! Not everyone wants a "perfect sounding recording" and thats important to know from the start.

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: No exactly what you want try and get on the phone or meet in person. Not everyone is right for everyone and thats ok! it is just better to find out before you get to working with each other!

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: Shorts - Snorkel - Shorts - Sun cream - Beer

  21. Q: How would you describe your style?

  22. A: I don't have a style - I think that a little limiting.

  23. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  24. A: I would have loved to have worked with the funk brothers! these guys were so cutting edge. Check out "In the Shadows of Motown"

  25. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  26. A: I like to push the artist and eek out every last bit of creativity.

  27. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  28. A: I take inspiration from a collective of people - Mowtown - The Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Josh Homme - Rick Bubin Jack White and the list will just keep going.

  29. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  30. A: My work and clients are changing everyday. I would say the majority of my work is Producing Recording and Mixing as a lot of projects i am hired for . I do also co-write with

  31. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  32. A: Always to be in music. I have never had a "real job"

  33. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  34. A: Capturing the sound you want to hear at source rather that settling for the "we will fix it in the mix approach" That doesn't work!

  36. A: Changes everyday I love my Job

  38. A: Tea making

  42. A: The Studio set up is a hybrid pulling together the best from both worlds. We have a fantastic vintage AMR24 console also 24 Track reel to reel. But we also run Protools HD Logic and antelope converters. We have a fantastic collection of equipment. the best thing would be to go to the website
