Audiomokette on SoundBetter

Recording and music production studio, remote mixing and mastering, soundtracks and themes

Audiomokette is a cozy recording studio in Turin, Italy. We care about quality for our projects, from recording, mixing and mastering a record to creating soundtracks and themes, played by our valued session musicians.
The studio has a large amount of instruments, including vintage synthesizers like a Yamaha CS15, a Korg MS20, a Tiger 61 organ and much more. In the large live room you'll find a sitar, tablas, shakers, african marimbas, a Premiere drumset, Marshall guitar amplifiers and a lot of fx.
We also provide a remote mixing and mastering service for various genres of music, contact us for a quote!

Interview with Audiomokette

  1. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  2. A: I try to understand what the artist wants to transmit, and I try to bring in the song those ideas that were only in the artist head. Somehow I think that the work of an engineer is mostly in those elements of music that are not strictly chords and words, but can convey emotions nonetheless

  3. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  4. A: That it's magic. If the song is not there, no mixing engineer can save it.

  5. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  6. A: I started the old way, as an assistant/teaboy in the '90s...

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Never underestimate the power of a gate on a snare drum! Apart from its obvious job it can shape your sound like you wouldn't believe!

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: I like to work with different genres, I love variety with mixing. It keeps it fresh to ear and interesting.

  11. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  12. A: I mostly do a lot of mixing, but I love complete productions when it's possible, you get to work on the whole vision

  13. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  14. A: It's a digital recording studio, and my DAW of choice is Reaper. The desk is a 32 channel Midas Venice and my monitors are Adam Ax7. The outboard includes Toft compressors, Lexicon reverbs and a lot of Ehx effects. I have LOTS of instruments lying around the large recording area and the main room, 'cause if I get the inspiration they need to be right there, ready to be recorded in the production!

  15. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  16. A: Both, because both worlds have their great advantages

  17. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  18. A: Quality, because that is what I care about

  19. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  20. A: The fact that I work with music, my real passion

  21. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  22. A: I'd say mixing
